Melvin "Mel" E. Balbo

Melvin E. “Mel” Balbo, 68, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 8, 2025. He was the son Jean Rae Toman Balbo and the late Melvin G. Balbo. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Jennifer Lynn Balbo.

Mel was a proud veteran of the United States Navy and later worked as an IT Technician. He enjoyed watching TV and listening to music and dancing.

His memory will live on in the hearts and minds of his mother, Jean Rae Balbo; his brother, Ricky Balbo and his wife Rosie; his sister, Tina Balbo; grandchildren, Vincent Testa, Victoria Hamilton and her husband Chris, Brooklyn Testa, Giovonni Testa, and Trevor Smith; great-granddaughter, Alicia Testa; and his former wife, friend and caregiver, Dana Conner.

The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff at Magnolia Ridge Assisted living for the care that was extended to Mel.

Services will be held in Manassas, VA and will be announced by Pierce Funeral Home.
