Michael Alvin Spicer
Michael Alvin Spicer, 70, of Martinsville, Va. passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2024. He was born in Reidsville, NC September 7, 1953 to Nancy Brande Spicer and the late Irvin Hollis Spicer.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 52 years, Debra Beckner Spicer; son, Michael Shane Spicer (Allison); daughters, Tiffany Brooke Robinson (Brent) and Brandy Spicer Lewis (Anthony); grandchildren, Allie Robinson, Brenton Spicer, Cullen Lewis, Ryan Lewis, Madeleine Spicer, Kate Spicer, and Daniel Robinson; brother, James Irvin Spicer (Liz) and sister, Karen Lynskey (Carroll).
Michael was a member of Starling Avenue Baptist. He was a very Godly man with a heart for serving and helping others. Whether it was cycling, hiking or kayaking he enjoyed being outdoors in God’s country. He also loved spending time with his family, especially when all of his grandchildren were with him.
He retired from Miller/Coors Brewery in Eden, N.C. with 38 years of service.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 26, 2024 at Starling Avenue Baptist Church and will be officiated by Pastor Angela Zimmerman and Reverend Jeff Wright. The family will receive friends for thirty minutes prior to the service.
