Michael Brown

Mr. Michael Leroy Brown, Sr., age 60, of Buchanan, died Friday, August 25, 2023, at his residence.
Mr. Brown was born March 21, 1963 in Alleghany County, the son of the late Roy Edward Brown and Eula Markham Brown. He had been employed as a truck driver for United Parcel Service (UPS) for a number of years before his retirement. In his spare time, Michael enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Mr. Brown is survived by a son, Michael Leroy Brown, Jr. and wife, Lisa of Salem; a daughter, Miranda Brown of Richmond; two grandchildren, Donavan Edward Brown and Emily Rose Brown; a brother, Robert "Bobby" Brown of Covington; two sisters, Nancy Brown Burley of Buchanan and Barbara Surface of Botetourt; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
