Michael Gordon Harold

Michael Gordon Harold, Sr., 71, of Martinsville, VA passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at Sovah Health of Martinsville and Henry County. He was born on December 25, 1954, in Danville, VA to the late James Burton Harold, Sr. and Vergie S. Harold.

Mr. Harold was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church and worked at Miller Brewing Company for twenty-five years. He was an avid NASCAR and UVA fan and had a deep love for animals. Earlier in life, he enjoyed fishing, and in more recent years he especially liked eating at Clarence’s. He also looked forward to his smoking breaks at Mulberry Creek, where he spent time with his friends.

He is survived by his sons, Les Harold (Annika) and Michael G. Harold, Jr.; siblings, Joan Harold Durham, Judy H. Obenshain (Richard), James Burton “Burt” Harold, Jr. (Teresa), Jill H. Cole (Tommy), Jean H. “Peedie” Hall (Allen), and Danny Harold (Sam); grandchildren, Tate, Ainsley and Wylder Harold. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Norris Funeral Services. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Norris Funeral Services with Pastor Doug Ramsey officiating. Burial will follow the service at Mountain View Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Henry County Sheriff's Office Animal Services Unit.
