Michael John Figueiredo

Michael John Figueiredo, 67, of Martinsville, Virginia passed away Saturday, February 15, 2025. He was born December 20, 1957, in Oak Bluffs, Massachusetts to the late Joseph Swartz Figueiredo and Rose Terra Figueiredo.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Gail Figueiredo; brother, Joseph Figueiredo; and one niece, Gail Moore Hardy.

Michael was of the Catholic faith and a graduate of Tisbury High School, Massachusetts. He took pride in his work and worked most of his life for the town of Tisbury. In his free time, you could find him joking around, gardening or sitting on the fishing bank waiting on the next big catch. He was a very outgoing person, never met a stranger and loved being around people. Above all Michael loved and treasured the time spent with his family. He will be missed by his many friends at Spruce Village.

He is survived by his sister, Laura Moore; niece, Lori Pedaline (Rick); nephews, Bob Moore (Yvonne), Brian Moore (Rita), Tim Moore (Brenda), Joey Moore, Danny Moore, and Joseph Figueiredo; and numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
