Michael John Mims

Michael “Mike” John Mims, Jr., age 55, passed away on June 26, 2025. Mike was born in Florence, SC on June 26, 1970, to the late Sara Lyon and Mike Mims, Sr. He is survived by the love of his life, Susan Sayers and their children pups, Danny and Lynyrd; cows, Lucy and Buttercup; goats, Sunny and Frank; chickens, Leghorn and Foghorn. Mike is also survived by his stepfather, Frank Lyon; brothers, Chris and Aaron Mims; sister, Christina Gardner; two nephews and a niece (whom he loved and was very proud of), Keegan, Tyler, and Caroline Mims. There are many others left to cherish sweet memories of a kind man whose heart was truly bigger than he was. Mike was the owner of B & M Builders and Maintenance, LLC. Mike was a much sought-after framer in the New River Valley area. Arise, shine for your light has come and the glory of the LORD has risen upon you. Isaiah 60:1 We bid you farewell until we meet again. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
