Michael Lowe

Mr. Michael Lowe, age 77, passed away Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at Surry Community Health & Rehab Center in Mount Airy, NC. He was born September 4, 1948 to Amos Norvale and Lannie Rosell Cain Lowe. Michael proudly served in the U.S Army. Michael had a passion for Nascar, he drove the pace car and car hauler for Hooter’s Pro Cup Racing along with riding his Harley motorcycle and spending time with friends prior to having a stroke. Michael was a loving father, brother, uncle and friend. Left to cherish his memories are his son, Jody Garaventa (Jamie); a brother, Marlin Lowe; a sister, Kirby Sue Lowe; nephew, Brant France (Billie Jean) and their children, Bradon and Isabella; a nephew, Brandon France (Michelle) and their children, Branson, Kayleigh and Gavin. In addition to his parents, Mr. Lowe was preceded in death by several aunts, uncles and cousins. A graveside service will be held Friday, October 24, 2025 at 3:00 PM at Round Peak Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Brother Bill Spurlin officiating. There will be no formal visitation at the funeral home. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Surry Community Health Center and Mountain Valley Hospice for the care given to Michael during his illness.
