Michael (Mike) J. Kolnok

Michael (Mike) J. Kolnok, Jr., 80, of Roanoke, passed away on Wednesday, November 27. He was born in Rahway, New Jersey on September 9, 1944 and was the son of the late Michael J. Kolnok (Mickey) and Elizabeth Kolnok (Lee).

Mike graduated from Belmont Abbey College in Belmont, NC. He served in the United States Army and bravely fought in the Vietnam War. He retired from Nationwide Insurance Company.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Linda Conner Kolnok. He had two sons, Michael J. Kolnok III (Elizabeth, wife) and Matthew W. Kolnok (Jeanette, wife).

Mike had one granddaughter, Alexandra (Allie) Kolnok and two step grandchildren, Donovan Keen and Jessica Robey.

Family will receive friends on Monday, December 2, 2024 from 4–7pm at Simpson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at 10 am at Simpson Funeral Home. Internment will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to the Gary Senise Foundation at PO Box 40726 Nashville, TN 37204 or Good Samaritan Hospice at 4751 Cove Road NW Roanoke, VA 2401.
