Michael Shawn Hickson

Michael “Mikey” Shawn Hickson, 49, of Salem, went to be with his family on October 5th, 2023. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Nannie Thompson Lawerance, and Charlie Long, and Ruth Long; parents, Clayborne Rodger and Charlene Hickson; sister, Debbie Lynn Hickson Pruitt; uncle, Bob Basham; as well as other aunts and uncles.

Mikey previously worked at Pratt Industries. He enjoyed fixing cars, and computers, and participating in some online gaming.

He is survived by his wife, Shelley Elizabeth Hickson; son, Magnus Xavier Hickson; daughter, Sharlene “Charlie” Elizabeth Hickson; mother-in-law, Janice Barber; father-in-law, Michael Barber; aunt, Louise Basham; nieces, Nina and Ashley Pruitt; and brother-in-law, James Pruitt.
