Michael Veston Clement

Veston Clement “Big Veston or Lighting” went peacefully late Sunday afternoon. He was preceded in death by his father Charles Clement; mother Wilda Clement; brother James “Jimbo” Clement; and brother-in-law Michael Bullock. He is survived by his devoted wife Gloria Clement; son Michael Veston Clement, Jr.; Daughter Emily Robertson (Devin); his two loving granddaughters Abigal Clement and Amelia Clement; brother Chuck Clement (Susan), two sisters Dianna Bullock, Sherry Lynch (Junior); many nieces and nephews, as well as his many beloved dogs. Veston was loved by so many, he was a simple man and was amused by life’s simplicity. He loved his land and spent most of his time making memories with his family such as his “Big tree” he, his children and grandchildren spent lots of time at. Veston was a loyal employee of Grindstaff Underground, owned by Special Friends, Dean and Patty Grindstaff. Veston would want his friends and family to remember his infectious way to make others laugh and feel joy.Memorial services will be held  12 noon Saturday, December 7, 2024 at Conner-Bowman Funeral Chapel. His family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Conner-Bowman Funeral Chapel, 62 Virginia Market Place Dr., Rocky Mount, VA.
