Michael Wayne Spence, Jr., 50, of Martinsville, Virginia, passed away Thursday, December 7, 2023, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Hospital. He was born June 28, 1973, in Martinsville, Virginia, to Michael Spence, Sr. and Rita Bowen.He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Paul Spence, and Alice Spence; maternal grandparents, Irvin Davis, Sr., and Margarete Davis.He was of the Baptist faith. Michael enjoyed working in the construction business with concrete laying work. He loved spending time with his children and was known for being a good cook. He possessed a huge heart for all children.Michael is survived by his daughters, Hannah Spence, Alana Spence, and a precious little one on the way; sons, Dillion Spence, Kaiyus Spence, and Tobias Spence; and a sister, Bridgette Spence.Services will be held privately.Wright Funeral Service & Crematory is serving the family.
