Michelle Mcghee Walker

Our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, plucked a beautiful flower on Tuesday, July 16, 2024: Michelle Lynn McGhee-Walker made her transition from this earthly home. She was born in Rocky Mount, Virginia, on October 9, 1972, to McArthur and Mary Katherine McGhee. She was educated in the Franklin County School System. Upon her move to Danville, Michelle found Christ and was baptized at Celestial Deliverance Holiness Church, On September 1, 2000, Michelle married her soul mate. Brian Keith Walker and together they built a life that exemplified an unconditional bond for themselves as well as others. She was employed as a private caregiver for a number of years until she decided to step out in faith and do what she enjoyed the most--giving and sharing her heart and home to make an everlasting impact for others. Michelle never met a stranger and sowed abundantly into the lives of everyone she came in contact with. If she had it and you needed it, no questions asked it was yours. Michelle leaves to cherish her fond memories her loving husband, Brian Keith Walker, her parents, McArthur and Mary Katherine McGhee, their children, Cierra Mabry (Wes), Ariel Barner, Tayler Preston (John Claiborne), Jaleah Stanely, Amyah McGhee, Brian Walker, Chase, Arianna, Roberto (RJ), Reginae, Perla and Angelina McGhee-Walker; many other sons and daughters that affectionately called her "Mom"; her sister, Margaret "Cindy McGhee; her brother, McArthur "Trac" McGhee and a host of other relatives and friends. She was pre-deceased by her niece/daughter, Tambria Taylor. Funeral services will be held 12 noon Monday, July 22, 2024 at the Pigg River Community Center. Interment will follow in the Patterson Family Cemetery. Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the Pigg River Center.
