Mitchell S. Roop

Mitchell Shane Roop of Salem passed away on March 7, 2025 at his residence.

A native of Virginia he was the son of the late Ronald W. Roop and Robin G. Levesy, who survives. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Cody L. Roop; sister, Jessica R. DeHart; and his paternal grandmother, Martha E. Roop. Mitchell was a graduate of Salem High School. He enjoyed skateboarding and video games. He especially loved his cat, Oliver.

In addition to his mother those left to cherish his memory are his sisters, Stephanie Dunahoo and Amelia Wilson; niece, Caroline Zayas; nephews, Hunter Wilson and Weston Wilson; maternal grandmother, Carolyn Craig and husband James; paternal uncles, Danny Roop and Mike Roop; paternal aunt, Emma Jean Millsappes; and numerous cousins.
