Mittie Sue Burchett

Mittie Sue Burchett, 83, of Salem passed away on February 25,2025.

She was born in North Carolina on July 16, 1941. Mittie Sue was the wife of Raymond Leon Burchett, Jr., who survives, and the daughter of Felix and Thelma Vernon, both deceased. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Roanoke where she also served as a secretary for many years. Mittie Sue cherished her church family. She enjoyed bird watching and NASCAR.

In addition to the love of her life for 66 years, Leon, those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Sheri Driver and husband Donovan; her son, David Burchett and wife Deborah; three grandchildren, Corey Burchett and wife Jenny, Emily Driver Myers and husband Greg, and Brett Driver and wife Courtney; five great grandchildren; and her brother, Russell Vernon and wife Kate.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at First Baptist Church of Roanoke.
