Morris Dale Keesee

Morris Keesee, age 88, passed away on Friday, October 10, 2025. He was born in Pittsylvania County, Virginia, on August 4, 1937, to the late William Henry Keesee and Gillie Gibson Keesee. Morris is preceded in death by his sister, Iris Bates and brother, Carlton Keesee. 

Morris and Mary Jane shared nearly 69 wonderful years of marriage. A skilled diesel mechanic, Morris spent most of his career with National Homes before finishing his working years at Packaging Products. Though he reluctantly retired in his early 80s, his strong work ethic never waned. He was a devoted and longtime member of Jones Chapel Church of the Brethren. A true bluegrass music enthusiast, Morris was known for his deep faith, his love for his Savior, and his kindness toward family and neighbors alike. 

Left to cherish the memories are his wife, Mary; daughters, Cathy Adams and Karen Crow (David); son, Philip Keesee (Kathy); sister, Lois Adkins; grandchildren, Austin Keesee (Amanda), Olivia Lemon (Josh), Caleb Crow (Kimmy), Noah Crow (Brittany), Abe Crow (Hailey), Caitlin Cartwright (Andrew), and Christian Adams (Hannah); and great-grandchildren, Jasalyn, Lyla, Micah, Charlotte, Chelsea, Will, Chloe, Myles, Kasen, Janie, Mariah, Molly, and two more soon to be born blessings. 

A funeral service will be held for Mr. Keesee on October 15, 2025, at 11:00 A.M., at Norris Funeral Services in Martinsville, Virginia with Pastor JD Morse officiating alongside Morris's grandsons Caleb Crow and Abe Crow. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Roselawn Burial Park.
