Moyer (Junior) Elvin Allen Jr.

October 28, 1947 - July 10, 2025

Moyer Elvin Allen, Jr. (Junior) passed away July 10, 2025, at the age of 77. He was born October 28, 1947. Jr. died doing what he loved most, working. He was never a man to sit still and when plans changed or there was a free moment, he was always looking for work to do or to help someone in need. He was a man with great work ethic, and he instilled this in the lives of his children. Jr. worked all his young life at Halmode Apparel where most all his siblings and mother were employed. He later was employed at Maid Bess in Salem, and then he started his own business late in life.

Jr. was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy and Moyer Allen. Brothers, Roger and Rickey Allen. Special chosen son, Tommy Holman. Jr. is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 23 years, Peggy. Children: Calvin, Leisa, Jeff (Carolyn), Amanda (Alan), Billy (Leonie), and RJ (Lauren). Grandchildren: Brett (Ashley), Taylor (Kyle), John, Aiden, Myranda (Addison), Nate, Josh, Harley, Joella, Kaiden, Raelynn, Liam, Brady, Adam, and many great-grandchildren. Siblings: Dorothy (David, Paul (Midge) and Patricia (Will).

A funeral service will be held on Sunday July 20,2025, at 2pm at Beaver Creek Church with Pastor Marvin Wade officiating. Interment will follow at Restvale Cemetery. There will be a visitation Saturday July 19, 2025, from 4pm to 7pm at Gardner Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to Beaver Creek Church, where Jr. was a member: 409 Ridgeview Rd, Floyd, VA, 24091.
