Myrtle Gammon Hutson

Myrtle Elizabeth Gammon Hutson, 86, of Blanch, NC passed away on Friday, June 30, 2023. Mrs. Hutson was born November 14, 1936, in Pittsylvania County, VA to the late George Daniel Gammon and the late Viola Mize Gammon.

Myrtle is survived by her daughter, Debra Shumaker; son, Sam Crumpton; grandchildren, Lisa Fowlkes, Michael Crumpton, David Crumpton, Larry Crumpton, Robert Matherly, Justin Shumaker, Ivy Shumaker, Jesse Weadon, Katie Weadon, and John Weadon; 17 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and brother, Bennie Gammon.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Tom Hutson; and nine brothers and sisters.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 5, 2023, at Danville Memorial Gardens, with Pastor Kenneth Watlington officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the graveside service from 10:00 to 10:50 a.m. at Norris Funeral Services, West End Chapel, 511 Church Ave., Danville, VA.
