Nancy Banton Baldwin
Nancy Banton Baldwin, 82, of Forest, passed away Saturday, March 7, 2026, at her residence. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Randolph Baldwin.
Born in Lynchburg on August 5, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Lester L. Banton and Lucille Woodie Banton.
Although Nancy retired from Imperial Reading, her greatest joy in life was caring for her family and home. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who dearly loved her grandchildren and was especially proud of her two new great-grandchildren. Nancy also had a creative spirit and enjoyed drawing. One of her proud artistic accomplishments was designing and painting a complete mural on her son’s bedroom wall. She was also an avid dog lover who raised and spoiled many beloved pets over the years.
She is survived by her son, Jason Todd Baldwin and his wife, Sonya; three grandchildren, Timmy Baldwin, Brandon Hall, and Alexis Russell and her husband Brandon; two great-grandchildren, Ava Lynne Russell and Violet Rae Hall; and her cherished fur baby, Liza.
A service celebrating her life and faith will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, March 15, 2026, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with Pastor George Davis, Jr. officiating.
Because of her love of dogs, those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider the Lynchburg Humane Society.
