Nancy Irene Rigney Heath

Nancy Irene Rigney Heath, 75, passed away on October 18, 2023. She was born in Pittsylvania County, Va. on January 10, 1948 to the late Clara Scearce Rigney and the late Edward Sweeney Rigney. She was also predeceased by her loving husband of many years, William Sandford Heath.

Mrs. Heath was of the Baptist faith, and attended Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. She worked for many years as a Drawer Maker for Hooker Furniture Company previous to her retirement.

She is survived by two daughters, Brenda Wishnevsky and Wendy Heath both of Chatham, Va.; four grandchildren, Dustin Wishnevsky, Bailey Rigney, Ariana Dove, and Ava Crews; three sisters, Linda Barbour (Dicky) of Callands, Va., Deloris Lewis (Kenneth) of Axton, Va, and Mary Mays of Axton, Va.; two brothers, Tommy Rigney (Martina) of Alabama, and Gary Rigney of Axton, Va.; and her great-grandchild on the way, “Poppy”.

In addition to her parents and her beloved husband, she was also predeceased by one son, Calvin Rigney; one brother, Neal Rigney; two sisters, Shirley Eanes and Ella Riddle; and her brother-in-law, Glennie Riddle.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, October 27, 2023, 2:00pm at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, 7174 Mountain Valley Road, Axton, VA. with Pastor Bobby Benfield officiating. The family will receive friends after the service at the church.
