Nancy Jane Niten Plaster

Mrs. Nancy Jane Niten Plaster, age 72 of Stuart, Virginia, passed away peacefully at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center on Tuesday, October 21, 2025. She was born in Henry County, Virginia, to the late Edgar Wesley Niten and Icy Barnard Niten. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Steve Plaster; longtime companion, Larry Willard, Sr; and three siblings, Diane Cox, Earl Niten, and Elbert Niten. Nancy enjoyed working in her flowers, feeding her birds, watching all the wildlife that visited her home, and travelling. The joy of her life was her family, she enjoyed every moment she spent with them and especially loved being “Nanny” to her grandchildren.

Left to cherish the memories of Mrs. Nancy Plaster are her daughter, Jennifier Hooker (Chris) of Stuart, two grandchildren, Tiffany Bowman and Toby Hooker; two siblings, Shirley Martin of Westfield, NC and Edward Niten (Sarah) of Mt. Airy, NC; sister-in-law, Brenda Plaster of Critz; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service for Mrs. Plaster will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Patrick Springs Christian Church with Pastors Buck Hanks and Bufford Jessup officiating. Burial will immediately follow in Patrick Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the church on Saturday afternoon.
