Nancy Lee Harrell

April 3, 1943 - March 10, 2026

Nancy Lee Harrell, (Memomme), of Roanoke County, peacefully went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, with her daughters by her side.

She was a woman whose life was defined by love, faith, and devotion to her family and friends. As the matriarch of her family, she played a special role in the lives of her children, Wendy McCarty (Michael), Leigh Anne Duncan (Dennis), and Earl G. Harrell, III (Karen); grandchildren, Dalton Duncan (Nikki), John Harrell, Adam Harrell (fiancé Jordan) Savannah Fletcher (Dee), Andrew Duncan (fiancé Kenzie) and Jordan Duncan; and great-grandchildren, Braydon Fletcher, Addison Fletcher, Bryce Fletcher, Cammie Duncan, and Marsali Duncan. She is also survived by her brother, Bernard D. Nuckols, Jr (Sleepy), and her special niece “3rd daughter”, Renee Oliva; many other nieces, nephews, and cousins, too many to name. The Harrell side of the family was dearly loved and cherished her beyond measure, keeping her close to their hearts after our father’s passing in 2016.

Memomme will forever be cherished by her family and all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Earl G Harrell, Jr; and her parents, Betty Nuckols and Bernard D. Nuckols, Sr.

Her faith and TRUST in Jesus were the foundations of her life. She faithfully served at the Church of the Holy Spirit since 1992 with her whole heart. Nancy’s compassion, generosity, and the way she cared for others was evident in the lives she touched.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the following: Wounded Warriors, Angels of Assisi, or autismspeaks.org.
