Nancy Louise Orange
It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Nancy Orange at the age of 83.
A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, Nancy enriched our lives with her warmth, kindness, and unwavering support. Nancy was a woman of grace who dedicated her life to nurturing those she loved. Her gentle strength and caring spirit have guided her family through both joyous and challenging times, leaving an indelible mark on everyone who had the privilege knowing her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Marshall A. and Mary E. Mitchell; and husband, Donald Orange Sr.
She is lovingly survived by her children, Donald (Lee), Cathy, and Sheila; her grandchildren, Chris (Jamie), Nathan (Amanda), Cory, and Shawn (Michelle); 4 great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Barbara, Doris (Barry), and Gene. Each of these family members carries forward the legacy of love, compassion, and resilience that Nancy exemplified in every aspect of her life.
Family members and friends may gather from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, April 6, 2025, at the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home in Salem, Va. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 7, 2025, in the funeral home’s chapel with Pastor Roy Kanode officiating. Interment will follow at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.
