Nancy Matthews Barnes

Nancy Matthews Barnes, 94, of Martinsville, VA passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at Mulberry Creek Assisted Living. She was born on April 22, 1929, in Ridgeway, VA to the late John Burrell Matthews and Laura Ann Warren Matthews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Paul Barnes, siblings, John Matthews, Tommy Matthews, Jack Matthess, Morton Barrow, and Pearl Cook.

She was a member of Fontaine Baptist Church.

Surviving are her daughters, Susan Ramsey (Robert) and Cathy Hundley (Barry); grandchildren, Brooke Ramsey Asbury (Robert), Al Hundley, and Cathy Amos; and two great-grandchildren, Coulter Asbury, and Reagan Asbury.

All services will be held privately.
