Nancy Neblett Horton

Nancy Louise Neblett Horton, 89, of Madison Heights, passed away Friday morning, April 11, 2025 at her home.

Born in Lynchburg, November 30, 1935, Mrs. Horton was the daughter of the late Mary Louise Ramsey Neblett and John Edward Neblett, Sr. She was retired from her many years of service in the school cafeteria and was a member of Randolph Memorial Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Rhonda Slusher.

Surviving are her husband, Grey Franklin Horton; two daughters: Deborah Scruggs (Dennis) and Dianne Hall (Gary) both of Madison Heights; brother, John Edward Neblett, Jr. (Barbara) 0f Madison Heights; sister, Mary Emily Lippy (Ed) of Crozet; eight grandchildren: Shane, Charles, Krystle, Jacob, Ashley, Douglas, Monique and Cheyanne; five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Special thanks to her caregivers Mary and Wanda.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at Amherst Cemetery. The family will receive friends at their home.
