Nancy Simpson Shively
Nancy Sue Simpson Hamilton Young Shively, also known as Mom, Moma, and Nana, born June 23, 1945, in Roanoke, VA. gained her heavenly wings on December 4, 2025.
She is preceded in death by her parents Thomas Melton and Oakey Hall Simpson; sister, Mary Frances Williams; her love of her life Edward “Eddie” Samuel Young.
She is survived by her children, Tammy Wooten (Tony), son Todd Hamilton (Cindy), and daughter Heather Wood (Chris & special friend Jarod Newcomb.); grandchildren, Tyler Bailey (Amanda), Allison Robertson (Jake), Will Hamilton (Emily), Josh Wooten, Reagan, Ava & Cole Crockett, Tenlee Wood, Brittany, Devin and Autumn Wood; great-grandchildren, Nora, Lincoln, Scarlett, Bailey, and Kennedy Hamilton; nephews, Tommy Terry, and Timmy Williams; niece, Melissa Price; several great nieces; 3 fur babies, Scooter, Chewy, and Elvis.
Nancy was a 1963 graduate of Jefferson High school. Her career started at Nelson Roanoke, then to Jay C. Distributing, H&H Xray and Old Va. Brick. Last 17 years were spent working with her son Todd at Hamilton’s Collision Repair as office manager. She was the smiling face and heart that kept everyone coming back.
Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were her entire life. She loved spoiling everyone. She enjoyed vacationing at Myrtle Beach.

Services will be held Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at 3 pm at Simpson Funeral Home Peters Creek Road Chapel. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to service time.
