Nannette E. Moser

Nannette E. Moser, 89, of Roanoke, passed away, Thursday, May 29, 2025. She was preceded in death by her mother, Elaine Lumia; father, Gaetano Lumia; and brother, Guy Lumia.

Nannette is survived by her son, Donald Moser (Lynn); grandson, Donald; brothers, Ronald Lumia (Bev) and Kenneth Lumia (Marge); as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Nannette lived most of her life on the south shore of her beloved Long Island, New York. She was a graduate of Adelphi University and C.W. Post University. She earned a Master's degree in both Social Work and in Health Administration. She retired from the State of New York after working as a Psychiatric Social Worker for 20 years. She also worked at Catholic Charities and did some private practice work as well. She loved watercolor painting, scrapbooking, gardening, reading mysteries, interior designing, history, and cooking to name but a few.

The family would like to thank all of the healthcare professionals and staff of the Harmony Memory Care Unit, as well as the Gentiva Hospice nurses and staff for the excellent care she received from them.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
