Nannie Mae Turner

Nannie Mae Turner, 90, of Bassett, Virginia, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 28, 2024, at her residence. She was born on March 26, 1923, in Patrick County, Virginia, to the late Wilburn B. Bowman and Maggie Spencer Bowman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William F. Turner; four brothers, David Bowman, Carl Bowman, Clifford Bowman, and James Bowman.

Nannie was a member of Fairway Church. She enjoyed watching her two favorite shows “Young and Restless and “Ultimate Survivor”, gardening, shopping, and spending time with family and friends.

Nannie is survived by two sisters, Bonnie Hanock, and Margaret East; brother, Wade Bowman; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 5, 2024, at Henry Memorial Park, with Pastor Kirk Montgomery officiating.
