Naomi Beasley Mabry

Naomi Beasley Mabry, 92, passed away on January 14, 2024 at Friendship Health and Rehabilitation Center South.

A native of Virginia she was the wife of 70 years to Melvin Leon Mabry, who survives, and the daughter to Jonah Beasley and Dollie Primm Beasley, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Virginia Lineberry, and brother, Harley Beasley. Naomi was a strong hard-working woman. She graduated from Hillsville High School. Naomi was an active member of Edgewood Christian Church. Above all else she was a loving and caring spouse, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend.

In addition to her husband those left to cherish her memory are her children, Donna Ashbrook and husband Joe and Melvin Lane Mabry and wife Allison; granddaughter, Hope Franks and husband Chase; great granddaughter, Whitley Naomi Franks; one step grandson, Cameron Ashbrook and wife Angie; four step great grandchildren, Maddie, Mia, Emma, and Ellie; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Edgewood Christian Church, 1006 Peck St NW, Roanoke, on Friday, January 19, 2024 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 at the church. Burial will be in Sherwood Memorial Park.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Daphne, Katie, Joyce, Missy, Mary, Ashley, and Kamiya for their kind and compassionate care. The family would also like to thank Visiting Angels and the staff of Friendship Health and Rehabilitation for their care.
