Nellie Cassell

Nellie Cassell, 73, of Patrick Springs passed away on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at her home.  She was born in Henry County on April 30, 1948 to the late Moses Clark and the late Fannie Turner Clark. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 5 brothers and 7 sisters
Nellie is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Roy Cassell, Sr.; sons, Roy Cassell, Jr. (Denise) and Gary Cassell (Tabitha); grandchildren, Matthew Cassell, Dylan Cassell, Codie Marion, Cheyanne Cassell, Dayton Walter, Shyann Walter and Austin Walter; 2 great-grandchildren, Ivory Rose Scott and Charlie Mae Marion; brother, Robert Clark (Mary); sister, Allene Wilson; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A floating visitation without the family will be held Thursday, October 21, 2021 from 12:00 noon to 5:00 PM at Bassett Funeral Service.  The family will have a private graveside service at Old Spoon Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Critz.
Due to the governor’s requirements for Covid-19, a face covering is recommended and social distancing is to be observed.
