Nellie Kelley Hostetter

Nellie Kelley Hostetter, age 81, of 16 Bryant Hollow, Lexington, Virginia died on Friday, September 6, 2024 at Shenandoah Valley Nursing Home in Buena Vista, Virginia.
Nellie was born on November 6, 1942 in Bath County, Virginia to the late Franklin and Margaret Simmons Kelley. She was a homemaker throughout her life, and a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. She loved spending time with her family, but also enjoyed listening to the music of Marty Robbins, traveling to the beach, going on cruises, and working puzzles.
In addition to her parents, Nellie was preceded in death by her husband, Elvin Eugene Hostetter; a son, Michael Hostetter; a sister, Janie Tyree; and a granddaughter, Tiffany Lineberry.
She is survived by four daughters, Frances M. Bryant and husband Douglas of Lexington, Michele Hostetter and husband Michael of Buena Vista, Valerie Burns and husband Shelton of Millboro, and Lisa Grimm and husband Danny, Jr. of Millboro; a number of step children; three sisters, Sharon Kelley, Edna Sheets and husband Jackie, and Donna Dawson, all of South Carolina; four brothers, George Kelley of North Carolina, Walter Kelley and wife Wanda of Harrisonburg, William Kelley of Millboro, and F. D. “Frank” Kelley of Millboro; twelve grandchildren; a number of step grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Jan Cochran of Raphine.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 12, 2014 at 2:00 PM in Calvary Baptist Church, Millboro with Pastor Dean Staton officiating. Interment will follow in Calvary Memorial Cemetery, Millboro. The family will receive friends on Thursday afternoon from 12:00 PM until the time of service at the church.
