Nellie Minnix Brubaker

Nellie Minnix Brubaker, age 93 of Rocky Mount passed away Tuesday, July 4, 2023. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Talmage of 57 years on May 27, 2005. She is survived by three daughters, Mary Jane Lynch (Cecil), Melinda Milan (David), and Tammy Knick (Mark); four grandchildren, Elizabeth, Christopher, Rachel (Matthew) and Casey; two sisters-in-law, Nadine Minnix and Helen Sledd; two nieces and a nephew. Also, a special cousin, Connie Ailstock.

The family would like to thank all of her caregivers who helped the family for the past two years. Many thanks to Harmony Memory Care and Good Samaritan Hospice.

Funeral services will be conducted from Antioch Church of the Brethren 11 a.m. Saturday, July 8, 2023 with Chaplain Rick Poland officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

The family requests that memorials be made to The American Cancer Society. Those wishing to offer gifts of food are encouraged to bring food to the church for the reception following the service.
