Noah Lee Stanley

Noah Lee Stanley, 82, of Bassett, Virginia, passed away on Monday, January 27, 2025, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was born on July 16, 1942, in Bassett to the late Elsie Calloway Stanley and Doug Stanley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Rhonda Lorene Stanley; four sisters, Christine Ross, Alleane Redd, Mae Stanley, and Gladiola Currie; and three brothers, Earl Stanley, J.C. Stanley, and Fred Stanley, Jr.

Noah was deeply devoted to the Lord and a loyal member of the Galilean House of Worship. He dedicated twenty-nine years of his career to Dupont. With a passion for building, he took great pride in his work as a carpenter. Most of all, Noah treasured the time spent with his family and friends.

He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Stanley; three children Lynn Lenora Stanley Underwood (Alexis), Fred Lamar Stanley (Mary), and Artie Lee Stanley (Wendy); one sister, Shirley Tinsley; three brothers, Raymond Stanley (Peg), Jim Stanley, and Clarence Stanley (Eloise); six grandchildren, Brian Jaymes, Clayton Jaymes, Alexis Lenora Underwood, Jay Underwood, Ty Stanley, and Bailey Stanley; and a host of other family members and friends.

The services will be held Thursday, January 30, 2025, at 12:00 PM, at Bassett Funeral Service Chapel with Bishop Michael Penn officiating. The visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Carver Memorial Gardens.
