Noreen Elnora Kendrick

Noreen Elnora Banner Kendrick, 88, of Martinsville, Virginia, transitioned from this earthly life Tuesday, July 5, 2025. She was born May 30, 1937, in Fabius, New York, to the late Erma Bassett Banner and Ralph Ivan Banner.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Jack Columbus Kendrick; brothers, Eddie Banner and Ralph Banner; and son-in-law, Samuel Miller.

Noreen was of the Baptist faith and attended Mountain View Baptist Church. She loved her family more than anything in the world, especially her grandbabies. Noreen was a stellar cook and some of her most fond times were having conversations with her family and friends and cooking for them. She loved being outdoors and enjoyed everything that nature had to offer, especially flowers.

She is survived by her daughters, Marjorie Miller and Barbara Fitzko-Thorpe (Lee); sons, Dale Lane Kendrick (Nikki), Bobby Dean Kendrick (Lisa), and Jerry Michael Kendrick; sister, Beverly Glazier; thirteen granchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Services will be private. The family would like to extend their gratitude to those who have expressed their love and kindness during this time.
