Norma Jean Pendleton Reed

Norma Jean Pendleton Reed, 87, of Collinsville, VA passed away Saturday, January 4, 2025. She was born in Patrick County on January 2, 1938 to John Marvin Pendleton and Pearl Jones Pendleton Walker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jan Reed; son Stephen Reed; stepfather Fred Walker; sister Nancy Stone; and brother Kenneth Pendleton.

She is survived by her son, David Reed (Michele); grandsons, Will and Ben Reed; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Norma worked for attorney Douglas K. Frith and retired after many years of service. She was a member of First United Methodist Church.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 9, 2025 at Roselawn Burial Park and will be officiated by Pastor Faith Weedling. A memorial service will follow at 12:30 pm at Kings Grant Victory Chapel and will be officiated by Pastor Weedling. Following the memorial service the family will receive friends in the Multi-Purpose room at Kings Grant.

The family greatly appreciates the special care she received from the staff at Kings Grant. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Kings Grant Fellowship Fund, 350 Kings Way Road, Martinsville, VA 24112.
