Norma Weymouth Smith

Norma Jane Weymouth Smith born in Farmington, Maine continued on to eternal life with Jesus on October 17, 2025 at the age of 93. A follower of Jesus and a much-loved wife, mother and grandmother, Norma served in the US Air Force, earned a Bachelor’s in Business at Va Tech, stayed home to raise her two daughters, managed a branch of First National Bank in Blacksburg and worked at Va Tech. She was best friends with her husband of 69 years, Tom, who preceded her in death. She was a wonderful Mom to her daughters, Donna Smith (Tom Lyttle) and Cathy Smith Wagnon (Darrin). She is also survived by two grandchildren Laura Beth Alden(Ben)and TJ Wagnon (Marti Williams Wagnon), three great grandchildren, especially close niece and nephew Nancy Walker (Jeff) and Fred Woodward, and numerous other nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by 4 brothers and 3 sisters-in-law. The family is thankful for the excellent care provided by the kind and very loving staff at English Meadows Blacksburg and Medi Hospice. A private graveside service will be held at a later date at the Southwest Virginia’s Veterans Cemetery in Dublin, Virginia.
