God in His infinite wisdom saw fit to transition from labor to reward, Mother Odessa Lowe Moyer on May 24, 2023. She was born June 10, 1928 in Rockingham County to Gilbert and Lula Malloy Lowe.

Odessa grew up in the Rockingham County area of North Carolina. She attended the Hayes Chapel School until junior high and then attended school in High Point, NC.

In 1950, she married the love of her life, Robert. Scott Moyer. They were blessed with a daughter, Eloise Moyer Hall.

After moving to Virginia with her husband, she continued her educational endeavors at several schools. She graduated in the 1970’s with a degree in nursing from Patrick Henry Community College. Soon, her husband was called into ministry and together they founded the Gospel Light Pentecostal Apostolic Holiness Church of Christ.
