Opal Faye McHone Oakley (Hawks)

 
Mrs. Opal Faye McHone Oakley, age 84, of Dobson, NC passed away on August 27, 2023, at the Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, NC.  She was born in Surry County, NC on March 28, 1939, to the late Jess Franklin McHone and the late Lela Marsh McHone.  She was a loving Mother and Mema to many.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Oakley; daughter, Christy Joan Oakley; son, Roger Dean Oakley; two sisters and four brothers.   Surviving are her four daughters, Rita Oakley, Glenda and Ricky Williams, Denise and Tim Jarrell, Lisa Oakley, Misty Dawn Oakley; one son, James Jeffery Oakley; twelve grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and a sister, Polly Johnson.  The family will be holding a graveside service only at Community Church Cemetery with Pastor Randy Edwards officiating on August 31, 2023, at 10:30 am.  Moody-Davis Funeral Home is serving the Oakley family.
