Oshane Valrick Tarpley

Oshane Valrick Tarpley, 75, of Martinsville passed away Friday, September 20, 2024, in Greensboro, North Carolina. He was born February 10, 1049, in Martinsville, Virginia, to the late Frank A. Tarpley and Amie Carter.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five of his siblings.Oshane was a member of the Sportsman Club since day one, retired from Martin Processing with thirty-five years of service, and worked at Sovah Health of Martinsville with three years of service. He enjoyed watching television, especially football and baseball. He was a huge Virgina Tech Hokies fan. He looked forward to Wednesday nights when he would get to watch his favorite television show, Survivor. Oshane never met a stranger.He is survived by his daughter, Tomeka LaShane Coles; brother, Donald “Duck” Tarpley; one granddaughter, Zykia Kidd; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.All services will be private.Wright Funeral Service & Crematory is serving the family.
