Paige Louise Hunt Robertson
Paige Louise Hunt Robertson, age 95 of Rocky Mount passed into her Heavenly Home on Tuesday, August 15, 2023. She was born on November 18, 1927 to William Benjamin Hunt and Donie Jane Brown Hunt in Franklin County.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Cecil Robertson, Sr.; her parents; and her ten brothers and sisters, Ruby Bell Hunt, Mary Irene Hunt Tudor, George Wilson Hunt, Margaret Gracie Hunt Love, Ethel Hooker Hunt Love, Maurice William Hunt, James Davis Hunt, Walter Akers Hunt, Virginia Lucille Hunt Willis, and Dorothy Jane Hunt Webb; and one niece, Donna Jane Webb.
Paige is survived by her three children, James Cecil Robertson, Jr., Susan R. Mills and Benjamin Hunt Robertson; and by her grandchildren, Jessica R. Bentley and her husband Matt; and Matthew J. Mills and his wife, Natalie. A special source of joy to her were her great-granddaughters, Kennedy Paige Bentley and Rebekah Grace Mills. Paige also leaves behind two sisters-in-law, Avis C. Hunt and Cova N. Hunt; and several very special nieces and nephews; as well as dear friends, Joyce Jones and Betty Underwood.
Paige was a lifelong member of Rocky Mount Baptist Church, especially active in the children's ministry there. She was a great respecter and student of Virginia and Franklin County history and heritage, and was a longtime Daughter of the American Revolution.
The family is grateful to our Lord for His many mercies to Mom and to us. Our thanks also to the good folks at ProMedica Hospice for all their help and kindness, notably, Tasha, Karen, and Tammy, who were faithful friends to our Mom and the family. We are thankful, too, for the ministry of Chaplain Ron Coleman.
It is requested that food be omitted; however, memorial contributions would be welcome in Paige's memory to her church: Rocky Mount Baptist Church, 85 West Church Street, Rocky Mount, VA 24151.
Funeral services will be conducted from Rocky Mount Baptist Church 2 p.m. Saturday, August 19, 2023 with Rev. David Slayton officiating. Interment will follow in High Street Cemetery. Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
