Pamela Kaye Melvin

PAMELA KAYE MELVIN, 61, of Conway, SC, passed away Friday, January 9, 2026, at her home. She was born January 15, 1964 and was adopted by Cecil & Mary Melvin.

Pam graduated from Virginia Tech earning a Master’s Degree. She enjoyed traveling, cross-stitch and crafting. She loved her cats and collected dolphins.

She was preceded in death by her father, Cecil Andrew Melvin.

Left to cherish her memory are her mother, Mary Ellen Wolfe Melvin;  her sister & brother-in-law, Becky & Buck Thompson; her daughter, Sierra Otero-Melvin; her step-daughter, Liz Otero; her step-grandchildren, Dakota and Asher; her life partner, Ruben Otero; her caregiver, Ruby Graham; her aunts, Mary Young and “Noi” Melvin; her uncles, Russel Melvin and Harvey Melvin; and numerous cousins.

Funeral services will be held on her birthday, Thursday, January 15, 2026 at 2:00 P.M. at A. Vest & Sons Funeral Home Chapel, White Gate, with Pastor Doug Hyndrich officiating. Burial will follow in Hoge’s Chapel Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 P.M. until service time, 2:00 P.M.
