Pastor Jerry Lee Brim

Pastor Jerry Lee Brim, 79, of Bassett, Virginia, passed away Sunday, November 17, 2024, at SOVAH Health of Martinsville. He was born July 15, 1945, in Henry, Virginia, to the late Herman Brim and Bertha Spencer Hollandsworth.

Jerry was the Minister at Union Chapel Church. He previously worked as a dedicated employee at Bassett Industries and Stanleytown Furniture. Jerry had a deep love and devotion to Jesus Christ, which he joyfully shared with others. He had a passion for antique vehicles, spending time restoring them, attending cruise-ins, and Charles Williams auctions. Jerry also cherished moments at his cabin, where he enjoyed the company of his wife, as well as quality time spent with friends and family.

He is survived by his loving wife of nine years, Dianne Brim; one daughter, Jessica Brim; one granddaughter, Adallyn Rose Brim; four sisters, Violet Hollandsworth (Jerry), Brenda Boyd, Jerlene Rhyburg (Scott), and Linda Richardson; special caregiver and friend, Sandra Weadon; friend, Millie Harrison; and lifelong friend, Gary Mullins.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the Bassett Funeral Service Chapel, with Pastor Sam Watkins officiating, with special words from Pastor Joe Nunley. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM, and burial will take place at Mill Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
