Patricia Ann Wolfe

Patricia Ann Wolfe, 82, of Martinsville, Virginia, transitioned from this earthly life Thursday, June 12, 2025. She was born July 30, 1942, in Bassett, Virginia, to the late William Ellis Handy and Nannie Mae McBride Handy.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of over 25 years, James Clinton Wolfe, Sr.; daughters, Cindy Wolfe, Christy Katsifos, Nanette Dawn Wolfe; sisters, Lois Harris, Gladys Grimes; brothers, Junior Handy, Doug Handy, Jerry Handy, Jackie Handy; and grandsons, Christopher Wolfe, Patrick Corriveau, and Joshua Burton.

Patricia found great fulfillment in being a caregiver. This was evident in her love for children and her work for over two decades as a childcare worker. She truly loved to care for others, especially her family and grandchildren. She will be remembered for the wonderful meals she prepared as a way to show her love. Flowers brought her enjoyment and she loved the beauty they produced each year.

Although her earthly presence is no longer with us, she has given a legacy of love and kindness to those left to cherish her memory: her daughter, Elizabeth Wolfe Lemons (Wayne Stone); sons, James Wolfe, Jr., Timothy Douglas Wolfe, Christy Wolfe; grandchildren, Rose Meadows, Donald “D.J.” Burton, Michael Wolfe, Katie Corriveau, Patrick Corriveau, Timber Callahan, Travis Wolfe; great-grandchildren, Alex Taylor, Autumn Hundley, Alex Hundley, Hayden Burton, Damian Wolfe, Serenity Wolfe, Jackson Chavis, J.B. Walker, Colton Wolfe; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

The family kindly requests that memorials be made in Patricia’s memory to The Renewal Center of the South, 285 Danbury Court, Madison, North Carolina, 27025.

All services are private, but the family wishes to extend their gratitude for the love and support that has been shown.
