Patricia Dawn Meeks

Patricia Dawn Meeks, age 80, of Danville, Virginia, was promoted to heaven on December 10, 2025, at Riverside Health and Rehab, Danville, VA.

Mrs. Meeks was born on January 23, 1945, in Danville to the late Nora Scarce Moore and Arthur Junior Moore.

Mrs. Meeks was a member of Gatewood Baptist Church and was in the medical field for 40 years, working in Danville and the surrounding areas; she was also a dedicated caregiver to her late husband and late parents. Patricia loved spending time with her family, including her kids and her grandkids. She also loved gardening, crafting, camping, fishing, as well as her dog, “Shep”.

Mrs. Meeks is survived by her daughters, Kimberly Ross Meeks Barber (Tim) and Angela Dawn Meeks Meadows (Rodney); sons, Jeffrey Wayne Brown and Michael David Brown; grandchildren, Mark, Katie, Jessica, McKayla, Colton, Andrew, Patrick, and Connor; 9 great-grandchildren; sister, Irene Barrett; and brother, Adrian Moore.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth Ross Meeks.

Funeral services for Mrs. Meeks will be conducted on Monday, December 15, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Gatewood Baptist Church in Providence, NC with Adrian Moore officiating. A visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., also at Gatewood Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Schoolfield Cemetery in Danville, Virginia.

At other times, the family will receive friends at the home of her daughter, Kim Barber, at 925 Oak Hill Road, Danville, VA.
