Patricia Oliver Flint
Patricia Flint, 78, of Collinsville, Virginia, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on September 16, 2023. Pat was born to Mary Oliver of Goshen, New Jersey, on July 3, 1945. She relocated to Martinsville, Virginia, in the late 60’s with her husband, where they raised their seven children.Over her more than 40 years at Dutch Inn, Pat thrived and made lifelong friends, as she went above and beyond to ensure all her customers felt welcomed and special. She most recently worked at Wal-Mart, always saying, “A body in motion stays in motion.” Pat loved each one of her family and friends dearly. Our world is a better place, thanks to the care and love she gave to all who came across her.In addition to her mother, she is preceded in death by her husband, David; two sons, William “Billy” Flint and Larry Hammer; and one grandchild, Brandon Moore. Pat leaves behind a large family. She is survived by her daughters, Shari Randazzo (Drew), Laurie Parnell (John), and Debra Moore (Shawn); sons, James Flint Jr. (Lisa), and Tony Flint; niece, Michelle Natale (Joe), and nephew, James Morrison. Surviving grandchildren include Chris Flint (Terra), Dustin Flint (Megan), Adam Flint (Jenna), Kayla Ott (Shaughn), Allyson Halstead (David), Samantha Martin (George), Randy Steagall (Ellie), William Cannaday (Kaylee), and Nicholas Cahoon. She was blessed with 13 great-grandchildren, whom she held dearly to her heart, and was incredibly proud of.Pat was the matriarch of our family and made a legendary impression on us all. Her bright smile and tight hugs will last forever in our memories. A special, heartfelt thank you to all the angels who have so generously helped our family by giving their time and loving care during this difficult time.Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 23, 2023, at 12:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel, with Terra Flint officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, at 11:00 AM. The family will be accepting visitors at the Elks Lodge in Martinsville, after the memorial for a Celebration of Life, where we will spend time remembering the beautiful life Patricia lived.
