Patty Branscome Spangler

Patty Branscome Spangler, 79, of Bassett, Virginia passed away on Thursday, April 10, 2024, at her residence. She was born on October 26, 1944, in Carrol County, Virginia to the late Orville Branscome and Almedea Branscome. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death, by her sister Louise Thomas.

Patty was a member of Orchard Drive Baptist Church for many years. She was a diligent and hard worker especially when it came to her flower garden. Her passion for her flower garden brought her immense joy and comfort. Alongside these simple pleasures, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Patty is survived by her brother, Gary Branscome (Susan); son, Steven Spangler; daughter, Teresa Adams (Bruce); two grandchildren, Xavier and Isabella, and a host of other family and friends.

A visitation will be held on Friday, April 19, 2024, at Bassett Funeral Service from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. A funeral will be held on Friday, April 19, 2024, at 12:00 p.m., at the Bassett Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor J.D. Harmon, officiating. A burial will follow at Pine View Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Carroll County.
