Patty Sue Strock

PATTY SUE STROCK, born January 29, 1952 in Crandon, VA, where she grew up and lived at the time of her death on Tuesday, February 27, 2024.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Garnet & Nell Strock.

She is survived by her two daughters, Amanda & Randy Townley, of Bland, VA and Pamela Harden of Indianapolis, IN.

She is also survived by her grandchildren, Dylan Townley and Emma Townley (JC Bryan) and by her great-grandchild, Lillian Bryan. 

Patty was a member of Hollybrook Church of Christ. She loved gardening and preserving what she grew. She also loved flowers, especially irises. She taught herself to crochet and loved to make animals and afghans, many of which were gifted to others.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 1, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at A. Vest & Sons Funeral Home Chapel, White Gate, with Jim Conley and Terry Gordon officiating. Burial will follow in the Mechanicsburg Cemetery. 

Patty’s family will receive friends on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at the funeral home from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made in Patty’s honor to either the Mechanicsburg Cemetery Fund, c/o Lenora Chewning, 9011 E. Blue Grass Trl., Bland, VA 24315, or to the Christian Acres Service Camp, 1351 Evangelism Rd., Bluefield, WV, 24701.
