Paul Campbell

Paul Edward Campbell, of Newport News, Virginia, passed away on December 7, 2025.

Born on December 21, 1962, in Clifton Forge, Virginia, Paul was the son of the late Bernard Malcolm Campbell, Sr. and Betty Chappell Campbell. He grew up surrounded by deep love of his family and carried their values of kindness, humility, and strength throughout his life.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his siblings: Valenda Lee Campbell, Bernard Malcolm (Mac) Campbell, Jr. (Sarah), Daniel Gordon Campbell (Juniper), and David Alan Johnson (Taqui).

Paul is also lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews: Emily Campbell Muterspaugh (Ryan), Catherine Campbell Williamson (Ben), John Chappell Campbell (Brandy), Margaret Westray Campbell (Chance), Elizabeth Campbell Buchanan (Bobby), Cory West Campbell, Kelsey Marie Campbell (Logan Bell), Devon Kendra Johnson, and Maeve Ani Johnson (Quinn Bennett), as well as a number of great nieces and nephews.

Also left to cherish Paul’s memory is his special friend, Stephanie Walters, whose companionship and support meant so much to him.

Paul loved staying in touch with his family and friends, and those connections were among the greatest joys of his life. His gentle spirit, quiet generosity and loyal heart touched every life he encountered, and his memory will remain a blessing to all who knew and loved him.

It was Paul’s wish to be cremated. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
