Paul "Chicken Man" Ray Hudson

Paul “Ray” Hudson, aka Chicken Man, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2025, at Sovah Health following a long battle with strokes.

Born December 22, 1964, to Rowland and Rebecca Dean Neaves Hudson. After the death his mother, he was raised by his aunt, Rowena Alderson.

He worked for Dan River Mills, Walmart Deli and Sam’s Club in the Rotisserie area.

Ray is survived by his sister, Shelby Davis (Richard), brother, Tim Hudson; niece, Sarah Hudson of Martinsville, nephews, Wesley Hudson (Angela) of Danville and Zac Hudson of Monita, and his great nephews, Lucas and Liam and many beloved family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, aunt, and sister-in-law, Ellen Hudson.

A special thank you to his caregivers, Gia, Gaven, Lamar and Ricky.

Family will receive visitors at Norris Funeral Home, West End Chapel, 511 Church Ave. Danville, VA on Sunday, June 29, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.

There will be no formal burial.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Danville Area Humane Society.

Norris Funeral Services, West End Chapel, is serving the family.
