Paul David Salmons

Paul David Salmons, 64, of Collinsville, passed away Thursday, March 24, 2023, at his home. He was born in Martinsville on January 10, 1959, the son of the late Rev. Joseph B. “Doby” Salmons, Jr. and the late Lenora Cochran Salmons.

Paul is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, JoAnne Shartzer Salmons; children, Rebecca Nester (Kevin) of Danville, Joshua Salmons of Cascade, Anna Dodson (Chad) of Axton and Sarah Salmons of Roanoke; step-grandson, Ben Dodson of Axton; brother, Joe Salmons (Pat) of Collinsville; sister, Marie Slate (Larry) of Winston Salem and sister-in-law, Pat Hayzlett (Bobby) of Martinsville.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 29, 2023, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM in the Bassett Funeral Service Chapel, where a funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM with Pastor Wayne Fulcher and Pastor Gene Chitwood officiating. Burial will follow in the Salmons Family Cemetery in Cascade.
