Paul "Eddie" Edward Yarus

Paul “Eddie” Edward Yarus Jr., 70, passed away peacefully at his residence on March 13, 2026, surrounded by his family. Paul was born on June 3, 1955 to the late Naomi Carter Yarus and the late Paul Edward Yarus Sr. He is survived by his loving wife of many years, Mrs. Shirley Green Yarus.

Paul was of the Baptist Faith, and a longtime member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. He proudly served his country for 21 years in the United States Navy. After retiring from the Navy, he worked as an Auto Mechanic and also at Advance Auto Parts, previous to his retirement. Paul was a life member of the Brosville Fire Department. He loved volunteering. He enjoyed his time fighting fires and the friends he made. Paul very much enjoyed building and racing radio controlled cars.

In addition to his loving wife, Paul is survived by a sister; Debra Carter; three nephews; Donald Keatts (Allie), Michael Carter, and Billy Carter; a niece; Katrina KayKendall; his brother and sister in laws; Rodney and Sandra G. Keatts; his great nephews; Rylan and Colton Keatts; and his special friend and caregiver; Jean Lewis.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, March 17, 2026 at 3:00pm at Norris Mt. Hermon Chapel, Danville, VA with Pastor Bob Yeaman officiating. A visitation will be held on the same day prior to the service from 2-3:00pm, also at Norris Mt. Hermon Chapel.
